A new international recognition for Azienda Agricola Cortese, with Cortese Orange-utan Bianco Terre Siciliane IGP 2024 receiving 91 points from Tim Atkin.
Orange-utan is a Sicilian blend of Inzolia and 20% Zibibbo, made with skin maceration. Atkin describes a wine with appealing grip, freshness and intensity, combining quince, tea leaf and citrus flavours with hints of sourdough bread and a distinctive bitter finish.
The recognition adds to Cortese’s international profile, highlighting the winery’s approach to Sicilian native varieties, organic production and biodiversity.
